Dean Patterson
Senior Vice President, Asset Management
With more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Patterson brings Ackerman & Co. wide-ranging asset management, investment sales, debt underwriting and acquisitions expertise in a variety of senior-level roles.
As Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Ackerman & Co., he provides asset management and due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions across Ackerman’s portfolio, helping to drive the performance of the firm’s commercial real estate investments.
Prior to joining Ackerman, Mr. Patterson served as Managing Director of Asset Management and Acquisitions at J. Streicher REIT and was responsible for the development and implementation of asset management and acquisition processes for a startup REIT pursuing capital and business combinations during its formation.
From February 2016 through November 2020, Mr. Patterson served as Managing Director of Asset Management for Bridge Office, a fully integrated owner-operator of value-add office assets across U.S. Sunbelt markets, overseeing loan compliance, distributions, operating budgets and strategic capital planning. As part of the asset management team for Bridge’s portfolio, Mr. Patterson spearheaded the development and adoption of new technologies and reporting capabilities using both internal and external systems to facilitate decision-making and efficiently grow the Bridge Office platform.
In his 10 years as Senior Vice President with TIER REIT, Mr. Patterson worked internally with his CIO and CEO on acquisitions for the company as well as with joint-venture partners on investment and personnel decisions over a 2.7 MSF office portfolio located throughout the Southeast U.S. and Washington, DC. During his real estate career, Mr. Patterson has also held positions with regional and national real estate firms including Prudential, J.P. Morgan, MBL Life Assurance Corporation, Prentiss Properties and CB Commercial.
