Ackerman & Co. Announces New Hire

Atlanta, August 23, 2011 – Ackerman & Co., a full-service commercial real estate firm headquartered in Atlanta, announced today the appointment of Gil Russell as vice president of brokerage.

Russell, who specializes in the leasing, sales and acquisitions of office assets, will be responsible for leasing at Johnson Square Office Park, a 12-building office park totaling more than 120,000 square feet located in East Cobb. He also will represent the ownership of Winchester Office Park, 1854 Shackleford Court and 8100 Roswell Road.

Most recently, Russell served as vice president of landlord services with Roberts Commercial Real Estate Services, where he completed more than 175 transactions in leasing, sales and acquisitions totaling $50 million and representing more than 700,000 square feet.

Gil holds a bachelor of science from the University of Georgia and is a certified commercial investment member candidate.
