Ackerman Retail Closes Land Acquisitions for Two New Wendy’s Restaurants in Metro Atlanta
Stephen Lapierre and Wyatt Whitaker complete land purchases in Flowery Branch and Lithia Springs on behalf of buyer Meritage Hospitality Group.
ATLANTA, July 14, 2022 – Representing the largest active Wendy’s franchisee in the U.S., Ackerman Retail has completed the acquisition of two land parcels that will accommodate new Wendy’s restaurants in Flowery Branch, Ga. and Lithia Springs, Ga.
Ackerman Retail brokers Stephen Lapierre and Wyatt Whitaker represented buyer Meritage Hospitality Group in the purchases. Meritage will develop the newest Wendy’s prototype restaurants at the two sites.
In Flowery Branch, Meritage Hospitality Group purchased 1.4 acres at 4163 Falcon Parkway, a location that provides convenient access to a new I-985 interchange. Blanchard Real Estate was the seller. “Flowery Branch offers strong population growth and high household incomes, as well as the benefit of several million square feet of distribution space occupied by Amazon and a variety of logistics and manufacturing operations,” Lapierre said.
In Lithia Springs, Meritage acquired 1.15 acres at 2675 Lee Road, an outparcel of the adjacent Publix-anchored Paradise Crossing shopping center. Paradise Ventures Inc. was the seller. “This transaction gives Meritage the opportunity to fill a void in Wendy’s restaurants in this area and to draw customers visiting the busy Publix shopping center and other retailers along the Lee Road retail corridor including Walgreens, RaceTrac, Sherwin-Williams, Wells Fargo and O’Reilly Auto Parts.”

In other Wendy’s transactions on behalf of Meritage, Ackerman Retail previously completed the acquisition of a 1.06-acre land parcel in Cedartown, Ga. and a 1.24-acre parcel in McDonough, Ga. for restaurants that are now open.
