Fin & Feathers to Open Midtown Atlanta Location
Ackerman Retail Senior Vice President Bryan Davis represents restaurant entrepreneur Damon Johnson in 5,400 SF lease on Crescent Avenue for his fourth Fin & Feathers in metro Atlanta.
ATLANTA, January 10, 2022– With a 5,400-square-foot lease signing at 1136 Crescent Avenue, Fin & Feathers is bringing its restaurant and nightspot to Midtown Atlanta, marking its fourth metro Atlanta location. Owned by restaurant entrepreneur Damon Johnson, Fin & Feathers will open in the space formerly occupied by Tin Lizzy’s Cantina.
Bryan Davis, Senior Vice President of Retail Services for Ackerman Retail, represented Fin & Feathers in the transaction. The restaurant is slated to open in February.
The Crescent Avenue location brings Fin & Feathers to a bustling corridor known for its restaurants, lounges and clubs in the shadow of neighboring Midtown Atlanta office and residential towers. Serving new American soul food, Fin & Feathers is both a destination for great food and a sophisticated gathering spot for socializing.
“Crescent Avenue provides exactly what we’re looking for in a location for a new restaurant,” said Damon Johnson. “This is a restaurant that customers can enjoy on their lunchbreak and a place where people can spend more time hanging out in the evening. We also see this as a restaurant that will breathe life into this part of Midtown, similar to how we did on Edgewood Avenue in Downtown Atlanta.”
The first Fin & Feathers location opened at 360 Edgewood Avenue in Downtown Atlanta and there are also Fin & Feathers restaurants at 7430 Douglas Blvd. in Douglasville and Hwy 85 in Riverdale.
Midtown is a district that is experiencing a surge in the development of new office towers and in multifamily buildings that have added thousands of units in recent years, providing an ideal environment for the Fin & Feathers experience.
“This is a place for great food, a good vibe, nice energy and happy people,” Johnson said.
The interior of 1136 Crescent Avenue will be completely redesigned in the Fin & Feathers style, notable for colorful recessed lighting, a welcoming bar, wood tables and chairs, and unique artwork lining the walls. There will also be a large outdoor patio for dining.
“I’m excited to complete this lease on behalf of Fin & Feathers at this prominent Midtown location, continuing the expansion of Damon Johnson’s proven restaurant concept. Fin & Feathers has attracted a loyal following, and this Midtown spot will give Damon the opportunity to further expand his customer base by drawing on the outstanding demographics that Midtown offers,” said Bryan Davis.
Midtown gives the restaurant access to a daytime work population of 168,399 within two miles and a residential population that has increased from 80,792 to 104,876 in the past decade.
Originally from L.A., Damon Johnson has made a name for himself in the restaurant-hospitality industry in Atlanta, helping to establish several successful restaurants before opening his own. He has been General Manager at BQE Restaurant & Lounge, Director of Operations at Members Only Lounge and Crave restaurant, General Manager at Escobar Restaurant & Tapas, General Manager of Tom, Dick and Hank BBQ Restaurant and Co-Owner of Spice House Cascade.
