Mud Pie Expands Presence at Ackerman & Co.’s Stone Mountain Industrial Park with 43,750 SF Lease
With new lease brokered by Ackerman’s industrial brokerage team at 1699 Litton Drive, Mud Pie now occupies 338,807 SF at the park in Atlanta’s Tucker/Stone Mountain submarket
ATLANTA, January 11, 2019 – Ackerman & Co. announced today that lifestyle product company Mud Pie has expanded at the company’s Stone Mountain Industrial Park with a 43,750-square-foot lease at 1699 Litton Drive, increasing its distribution space at the industrial park to a total of 338,807 square feet.
Ackerman & Co. industrial brokers Brett Buckner, Jimmy Stevens and Major Martin represented Ackerman in the lease. Rick Spiller of Wilson, Hull & Neal Real Estate represented Mud Pie.
Mud Pie – an award-winning manufacturer of children’s apparel, fashion accessories and home pieces sold at more than 16,000 specialty retailers – signed the lease to occupy the entire 1699 Litton Drive building, a move that provides the company additional distribution capacity needed to meet growing regional demand for its products. The company also occupies 295,057 square feet at another Ackerman building at Stone Mountain Industrial Park, at 4893 Lewis Road.
Located just outside the I-285 Interstate perimeter of Atlanta, Stone Mountain Industrial Park offers a mix of front, rear and side-load warehouse facilities.
Ackerman & Co. acquired the 4.1-million-square-foot Stone Mountain industrial portfolio in November 2015. Since purchase, Ackerman & Co.’s industrial brokerage team has completed 1.5 million square feet in new leases, boosting occupancy across the portfolio from 84% to 95%.
