Shea Meddin Represents HowStuffWorks in 10,000 SF New Lease at Ponce City Market
ATLANTA, November 6, 2014 – Ackerman & Co. today announced the completion of a 10,303-square-foot new office lease on behalf of innovative edutainment company HowStuffWorks, Inc., at Ponce City Market, the redeveloped Sears Roebuck & Co. building overlooking Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown, Atlanta.
Shea Meddin, vice president of brokerage at Ackerman led the assignment on behalf of HowStuffWorks; Cushman & Wakefield’s Aileen Almassy and Kyle Kenyon represented the landlord, Jamestown.
HowStuffWorks will take occupancy of its new space on the fourth floor early next year. “They are relocating and expanding their headquarters from Buckhead to Ponce City Market to incorporate new audio and video production studios all under one roof,” said Meddin. “Locating near the Beltline and in a more urban environment surrounded by the energy and culture of similar companies were key factors in the company’s final decision to make Ponce City Market its new home,” he added.
